Summer 2010 has been a time for preparing the national launch of Contra Alliance. After a slight delay, the project is now ready. Here is a quick update on launch operations…

Barnes and Noble: Notification was provided Barnes & Noble of distribution attained, thus allowing the initial approved Purchase Order to be placed. Available physical copies will depend on location. You may request Contra Alliance at your local B&N starting this Fall.

Distribution: Contra Alliance primary distribution of hardcover copies will take place through Ingram wholesale and Baker & Taylor–the two largest wholesale book distributors in the country. Direct orders can also be placed over the phone through BCH using the toll free number 1-800-434-1579.

Website Update: ContraAlliance.com is undergoing an update to reflect a renewed focus on spreading the alliance through selling Book One: Shadows of the Past. The site will feature hardcover AND e-book versions.

E-Books: Conversion of Book One is taking place to accommodate all major e-reading platforms including Kindle, iPad, and Nook.

Amazon: With actual distribution attained, the Amazon profile of Contra Alliance will now reflect State of the Art Entertainment, LLC as an actual publisher. The new page should become activated sometime in September and will feature both hardcover and Kindle versions of Shadows of the Past.

Independent Bookstores and Comic Shops: The push begins this Fall.

Public Relations/Advertising: A press release announcing the official launch date of Contra Alliance is forthcoming. Review copies for featured coverage are in queue to key sources. Several options are being evaluated for advertising the launch via social media and traditional print platforms.
